The last weekend has been pretty dreadful. I got sick on the Friday but thought I would try to make it to work - which was when the car gear box stopped working part way down the hill.
We had to abandon the car and walk back up to the house, at which point I gave up trying to struggle through nausea and went to bed....Later that night Nacho the cat went missing and we haven't seen him since.
We've been all over the hill, to the camp site, phoning around people on the hill. No sign of him anywhere. I wasn't too worried to begin with, but now i'm feeling anxious.
Meanwhile I knew I had to try and make progress on a piece which is to be at Melt gallery on the 28th Nov. I didn't make much progress, or as much as i'd like, but here's a snap.
The theme for the whole show is pretty great, it revolves around the terms for groups of animals, such as 'An aurora of polar bears' (the shows title) and in the case of the above 'A generation of vipers'.
I've had to construct the simple frame myself as I have nothing suitable at hand, and no time....
Hopefully I can cram some more time into it next weekend and shuttle it off as quickly as possible.
